HANSON SWAN BUSINESS AWARDS 2007
A winning team combined with world-class facilities have enabled Sandalford Wines to secure the Swan Valley’s most prestigious business award for the third time.
Sandalford Wines have won the Swan Business of the Year category of the Hanson Swan Business Awards that recognise business excellence in the Swan Region in 2004, 2006, and again in 2007.
The contribution Sandalfords makes to the economy of the Swan Valley and Swan region
was recognised by the 240 guests at the annual awards presentation dinner held at the Sandalfords venue on Saturday 11th August.
The award for Business of the Year is the top award in the programme run by the Swan Chamber of Commerce.
The Business Person of the Year for 2007 was Kim Gascoigne of Gascoigne Furniture who was also presented this award in the mid 1990’s. Kim started his business in 1975 and employs over 60 people. He has a strong local youth and indigenous employment program in the art of fine furniture making and is active in many community and charitable activities.
A total of 12 Awards were presented this year and included two new categories, Restaurant of the Year and Family Dining Restaurant of the Year, with award winners coming from commercial areas throughout the Swan region
